The holidays may still be months away, but the team at Jacob Heating & Cooling is getting a head start on spreading seasonal cheer with our Christmas in July Toy Drive in support of Toys for Tots. We invite you to join us in helping local children have a joyful holiday season!
It may be summertime, but the need for holiday assistance never takes a break. By donating in July, you’re giving organizations like Toys for Tots the time they need to collect, organize, and distribute toys to children across our community in time for the holidays.
We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys through the end of the month. Whether you’re picking up an extra toy while shopping or setting aside something special to give, every donation helps brighten a child’s holiday.

Since the cool weather is still months away, take a moment to think about how your A/C system is holding up during the heat. A few easy maintenance steps can help keep your home comfortable, your system efficient, and your energy bills manageable:
A clogged air filter restricts airflow, which makes your system work harder and less efficiently. Check your air filter every month and replace or clean it as needed.
Leaves, grass, and debris around your A/C unit can reduce airflow and cause overheating. Make sure there’s at least two feet of clearance around the unit.
Use a programmable thermostat to help control temperatures efficiently while you’re away. Set your thermostat a few degrees higher when no one’s home to help reduce energy usage.
Check to make sure all vents are open and unobstructed by rugs, furniture, or curtains. Blocked vents can reduce airflow and cause uneven cooling.
If you notice reduced airflow, strange noises, or warm air blowing from your vents, schedule a service visit sooner rather than later. Addressing small issues early can prevent larger repairs later on.
